Belinda Coyne x Deirdre Dyson

One of our highlights of recent months was the exhibition of works by enamel artist Belinda Coyne at the Deirdre Dyson showroom. Entitled #Layers the installation was part both the Chelsea Design Quarter Autumn Edit and of the 25th Anniversary celebrations of Deirdre Dyson. To commemorate 25 years of creating exquisite hand crafted rugs and carpets Deirdre Dyson released a collection of rugs that included four reimagined signature designs; Sunlit, Slivers, Carnival and Pool of Light.

In addition to her existing works the #Layers exhibition included a capsule collection of stunning bowls created by the artist which reflected the reimagined signature designs of from the Deirdre Dyson collection.

At the time Belinda said“’#Layers’ very much captures the approach Deirdre and I share in our contemporary creations and textural aesthetic. …We both share a love of bringing inspiration from the natural environment into our own abstract interpretations,”

The exhibition continued Lady Dyson’s tradition of supporting and collaborating with artists having held exhibitions in recent years with paper artist Richard Sweeney and sculptor Helen Solly.

Lady Deirdre Dyson said, “I like to support other talented artists and for several years we have hosted people whose work I admire and whose creative output I feel a synergy with.”
