  • Waterworks 579-581 King's Road London, England, SW6 2EH United Kingdom (map)

Waterworks host a fast, hands-on intro to plumbing basics—perfect for designers who want to understand how bathrooms really work. Learn boilers, pressure, showers and valves, and how to speak confidently to plumbers on site.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the basic plumbing systems in a home (supply, waste, heating)

  • Explain the difference between combi and system boilers, and where each works best

  • Identify what affects water pressure and flow, and why performance issues happen

  • Recognise common solutions (boosters, cylinders, accumulators, controls) and what each one improves

  • Select suitable shower/valve concepts based on pressure, safety, and usability

  • Ask better questions on-site and communicate more effectively with plumbers and contractors

  • Carry out basic practical checks using a client-style handover mindset
