Christopher Farr are expert producers of custom rugs, designed in close collaboration with their clients. Almost 40 years ago, Christopher Farr set out to protect and preserve the world’s weaving traditions while exploring the creative possibilities of design. Since then, they have maintained a dedication to quality and an uncompromising pursuit of beauty that has helped revolutionise rug design.

With extensive research and development expertise, the in-house design team handles all technical drawings, advising on the most suitable techniques and materials to meet the exact requirements of each project. Christopher Farr can adapt rug designs from its extensive portfolio, or develop something entirely bespoke.

Christopher Farr champions the finest natural materials, drawing on decades of expertise experimenting with wool and fibre blends-from silk, mohair, and merino to hemp and jute. This material knowledge informs every project, and enables the team to achieve the desired aesthetic, tactile richness and enduring performance. Beyond private residences, Christopher Farr has extensive experience producing bespoke rugs for hospitality, retail, public, and workplace environments, collaborating with many of the world’s leading architects and interior designers.

Every stage of the production process is independently audited by fair trade partner Label STEP. Christopher Farr also maintains an ongoing partnership with Turquoise Mountain - the charity founded by King Charles III - which supports artisan communities and works to protect and revitalise cultural heritage.
